This foot-stompin’ duo has been playing wild fiddle tunes, singing low-down blues, and inspiring general hilarity all over the eastern United States for one year and counting. The New Millennium Jelly Rollers is composed of Max Godfrey (former Jenny Jack Farm Apprentice) and Elias Alexander, who began making music together by trading off verses on worksongs and spirituals. Since then, their sound has grown to encompass everything from country-blues to old-time dance tunes and Skillet-Licker-style sketch comedy.
They’ve performed in barns, houses, grange halls, and churches all over New England and Georgia, as well as distinguished venues such as Club Passim in Boston, Whistlepig Productions in Atlanta, and The Jalopy in Brooklyn.
